The hit dance competition show “Dancing With The Stars” is taking its franchise to the next level! Prior to the announcement, fans speculated the show would bring back DWTS Jr. ‘s, all-stars, or even return to having 2 seasons a year. A fan convention was not on many enthusiasts’ bingo cards, however they knew that the announcement was going to make history because of all of the big names involved. This includes former DWTS pro dancers, celebrities who competed on the show, and more.
The cast of the Dancing With The Stars tour, plus current and former pro dancers headed to New York City on February 10, 2026 to announce the convention on “Good Morning America.” This is the first ever fan convention for Dancing With The Stars, celebrating the show’s 20 year legacy through an immersive, one of a kind experience.
The convention will take place at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, CA from Jul. 31 to Aug. 2, 2026. It will be a weekend fans will never forget, with up-close access to live performances, meet and greets, Q&A panels, and so much more! Other than past and current pro dancers from the show, some celebrities that will also be in attendance are Danielle Fishel, Elaine Hendrix, Xochitl Gomez, JoJo Siwa, Joey Graziadei, and more to be announced. Val Chmerkovskiy, a current pro-dancer on the show, says it will be an “intimate experience for the weekend to get to know us even more, spend some time dancing, learning new stuff, capturing content.” Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 14 at 1 pm EST, and can be purchased on the DWTS Con website.
Dancing With The Stars premiered on ABC on Jun. 1, 2005. It has been very successful for the past 20 years, but its popularity completely transformed once it moved to Disney+ and started using social media to promote it more. This brought in the Gen-Z audience, and the show continues to gain many new viewers each year. Their tour also gained more popularity over the years, causing it to extend for a longer time as tickets became harder to get. This new resurgence in the show’s popularity is what ultimately led them to create the fan convention, in hopes to extend its audience through a fan-focused, immersive celebration of the show’s success.
