The workweek is nearly over, and even better, it’s New Music Friday again. Conquering the headlines today, Victoria Monét and Quavo are both set to release brand new albums with fans having big expectations, while superstar Drake is debuting a couple of new tracks as well.

Grammy Award winner Victoria Monét released her highly anticipated sophomore album, “Frequency of Love” on Oct 2. Her first album “Jaguar II” debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart with her single “On My Mama” going No.1 on R&B charts and peaking at No. 33 on the Hot 100. “Jaguar II” also landed her an astonishing six Grammy nominations, including wins for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical; Best R&B Album; and Best New Artist.

In the lead up to the album, Monét has released three singles, “Let Me,” “Reach Out” and “Juicy.” Both her prior success and the stacked feature list has many fans and critics alike interested in this project. Contributors on this album range from stars of R&B like Bryson Tiller and Leon Thomas, to full-blown superstars such as SZA and Bruno Mars.

The other big release last night was Quavo’s album “QRÖMELIFE.” Quavo, who originally rose to fame in the 2010’s band Migos, has put out his third venture into solo music. So far, Quavo has released the first three singles of the project, opening track “Backwards” with T.I, “HAAVIN,” and “Trance (Walk It Down)”.

This album follows his 2023 release of “Rocket Power” and the 2018 project “QUAVO HUNCHO.” He also famously collaborated on projects with Travis Scott and Takeoff.

Legendary artist and producer Pharrell Williams also played a hand on this album, producing all 14 songs. However, he is not the only feature on the project. You might hear artists such as A$AP Rocky, Future, Justin Timberlake, fellow Migos member Offset and more.

The new release that will probably attract the most attention today comes from Drake, who put out a deluxe version of his recent album “HABIBTI” titled “HABIBTI FOMO.” This deluxe consists of four new tracks, with two features from Don Toliver and one from Yebba. “HABIBTI” was released in May of this year as a part of his “ICEMAN” rollout. The launch included “ICEMAN”,  “HABIBTI” and another album of his, “MAID OF HONOR.”

Some smaller projects you should give a listen to today as well are Miranda Lambert’s “Crisco,” Dev Lemon’s “hunting what we already killed” and Wynonna’s “The Hard Truth.”
