Heating up for Thursday, but any storms?

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Improvement was slow, but we finally got some sun out and milder air for all of CNY to round out Wednesday! More sun and warmth to come Thursday? Find out below…

Nice and comfy into the start of Thursday

After all the clouds we’ve dealt with Monday through early Wednesday afternoon, it’s nice and clear much of tonight with comfortably cool low in the 50s for most overnight.

Turns even brighter and warmer Thursday

More sunshine is expected to shine Thursday with a bit more humidity too, and just a slight risk of a spotty shower/storm or two mainly north of Syracuse later Thursday afternoon and evening. Overall, looking pretty good for a mow and or Blues Fest.

Highs warm into the mid to upper 80s Thursday with a steady southwest breeze assisting in the warm-up on Thursday.

Rain chances return briefly late week

A cold front is slated to arrive late Thursday night through early Friday afternoon with some showers and possibly a storm or two. After 2 or 3 pm most areas of CNY should be drying out to round out Friday with even some sun sneaking out.

Highs are cooling back into the mid to upper 70s to round out the week with lowering humidity and a steady breeze kicking up for the afternoon.
