Onondaga Lake Parkway to shutdown Thursday afternoon

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You might need to alter your drive home Thursday. At least if you use Onondaga Lake Parkway.
On Thursday, June 6, Onondaga Lake Parkway will be shut down in the afternoon. The shutdown is for the fourth Syracuse Workforce Run.
The shutdown will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

The Syracuse Workforce Run was once known as the Corporate Challenge, held annually in Liverpool from 1982 to 2019.
Crowds of 2,858 runners and walkers from 110 companies will compete over a 5K (3.1-mile) race course on Onondaga Lake Parkway and will start at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 6.
All participants in the race are encouraged to take advantage of the free parking and shuttle service available at NBT Bank Stadium.
The parking lot will open at 3:30 p.m. and the first shuttle will depart for the race site at 4 p.m. and run continuously until 6:05. Return shuttle service will be available from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday.
