Section III crowns four girls lacrosse champions

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WSYR) — It was an exciting evening at SUNY Cortland, as four Section III girls lacrosse champions were crowned on Tuesday night.

Westhill and South Jefferson starting it off in Class D, as the Spartans took home the title beating the Warriors 12-5. West Genesee and F-M squared off for the Class B championship. The Wildcats knocked off the Hornets 14-9.

In the two late games, Fulton and Indian River went down to the wire. Fulton scored with less than a minute to play, lifting the Red Dragons to the 10-9 win and the Class C title. To cap off the day, C-NS and Liverpool went head to head with the Northstars cruising past Liverpool 15-5.
