Las Vegas Aces waive Rochester native Dyaisha Fair

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Las Vegas Aces announced the decision to part ways with Rochester native and rookie guard Dyaisha Fair.

Fair formerly played with Syracuse and Edison Tech before she was picked for the Las Vegas Aces. Fair was their fourth pick in the second round during the WNBA Draft.

However, the team announced in a statement released Sunday that they decided to waive Fair. No further details have been announced as to why the decision was made.

Fair played with the Aces on Saturday against the Indiana Fever, which Las Vegas saw a victory 99-80.

After she was drafted into the Aces, the City of Rochester celebrated Fair, with Mayor Evans saying she reached heights rarely seen in the city.
