Your Stories Q&A: Here’s when Sky Zone will bounce from DeWitt to Clay

DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You ask, we answer!

We have an update to a story we first brought you last October. We now know when Sky Zone will close in DeWitt and reopen in Clay.

The bouncing and jumping will stop at DeWitt Town Center, off Erie Boulevard on Sunday, April 28, according to Managing Franchise Partner of Sky Zone Syracuse, Pam Tuohey.

Tuohey said the new location at the former Sears at the old Great Northern Mall will open on June 13.

Once relocated to the northern Syracuse suburb, the business will be renamed Sky Zone Clay.

Tuohey said they will miss the DeWitt community but the move to Clay is a great opportunity.

She said their lease was coming to an end and they outgrew the DeWitt location. The Great Northern spot, offers double the space, taller ceilings and allows Sky Zone to offer more attractions such as “massive slides.”

The former Sears is not part The Hart Lyman Companies and Conifer Realty plan to transform the old mall into a town center, that includes: New housing, medical facilities, professional offices, a Clay Community Center, hotels, and unique retail, dining, and entertainment options.

As for what’s next for the DeWitt location, once Sky Zone leaves for Clay, the developers with DeWitt Town Center said it plans to open the CNY Pickleball Center.

Bill Cleary and Grazi Zazzara said the plan is to open a 10-court pickleball center that will offer other activities such as cornhole. The men described the CNY Pickleball Center as a great social gathering spot, complete with food and a bar.
