Keep umbrellas handy into Thursday

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Wet weather arrived across central New York on Wednesday. Can we put the umbrellas away on Thursday, or should we keep them handy? Find out below…

Staying damp tonight

Skies remain cloudy and some scattered showers will be around tonight. There may even be some thunder, too.

Lows will be mild, ending up within a few degrees of 50.

Wet, breezy Thursday

Showers continue at times into Thursday morning but tend to taper Thursday afternoon to a bit of drizzle. Still, though, Thursday looks to be the dampest day of the week.

Thanks to all the clouds and showers Thursday, highs will struggle to get out of the 50s for most.

Any better Friday?

Friday does look a little drier and brighter at least to start, but during the midday and afternoon an approaching cold front will likely trigger some more showers. The wind should also be gusty at times as the front moves in.

Highs on Friday should get back into the low to mid 60s, but cooler air returns for the weekend with a stiff breeze and highs dipping back into the low to mid 50s despite some sunshine.
