Lewis County Sheriffs warn public about storage unit break-ins


LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning about break-ins at a number of storage units across the county.
In a Facebook post made on Sunday, March 3, authorities had multiple reports of storage units being broken into throughout the county. Deputies advise anyone that owns a storage unit to check their locks.
Locks are being reported as being removed and/or replaced with new locks.
If a lock has been tampered with or if anyone notices anything off with a unit. Officials urge the public to call 315-376-3511 and report it.
