#19 Syracuse women drops overtime thriller at #12 NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. (WSYR-TV) –

The Syracuse women’s basketball team dropped its regular season finale, falling in overtime at #12 NC State 75-71.

Dyaisha Fair poured in a game-high 26 points in the loss for the Orange. Izabel Varejão and Georgia Woolley both chipped in 14 points for Syracuse. NC State was led by Saniya Rivers, who scored 22 points in the win over the Orange.

Syracuse closes out the regular season at 23-6 (13-5 in the ACC). SU now awaits its ACC Tournament seeding, following the results of the games on Sunday. Syracuse has guaranteed itself a top-four seed and a double-bye in the ACC Tournament.

SU returns to action on Friday, March 8th in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals down in Greensboro, North Carolina.
