21-year-old man turns himself in for Hawley Avenue murder in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 21-year-old man has turned himself in for the death of a woman who was found in Lincoln Park in Syracuse, near the 1100 block of Hawley Avenue, the Onondaga County District Attorney confirms to NewsChannel 9.

The suspect is accused of killing a 21-year-old woman whose body was found on Saturday, June 22.

The cause of death was strangulation or suffocation, and the victim and suspect were in a relationship.

NewsChannel 9 was told the suspect turned himself in downstate in Spring Valley, near Westchester.
