Sunshine returns Sunday

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – After dealing with some early spring snow Friday night and early Saturday, now it’s time for the nicer half of the weekend. Just how nice will it be, and does the quiet weather last beyond today? Details are below…

Sunshine returns and sticks around

High pressure settles into the Northeast to round out the weekend, putting an end to any lingering lake flurries over the Finger Lakes Sunday morning and setting us up for a nicer end to the weekend. Even with the sun, it will still be cooler than average with highs in the low to mid 30s.

High pressure stays in charge on Monday, which means the return of mostly sunny skies to central New York!

Milder temperatures return

Spring temperatures makes a comeback across the region over the next few days after a wintry past week to start spring officially.

Highs across the area are expected to be near 50 on Monday and even a bit milder midweek.

These milder temperatures with sunshine should help melt much of the snow from the Friday night/Saturday system.

Next precipitation chance

The next chance of rain returns late Tuesday night into Wednesday as a cold front approaches the area.

Drier conditions return for the end of the week in the wake of the front along with slightly cooler temperatures.

Stay tuned for updates.
