Young Thug has finally broken his silence. After a tumultuous few weeks, the YSL leader stopped by the Perspektives With Big Bank podcast to clear the air on the dozens of allegations swirling around him.

Let’s back up: Since being released following his YSL RICO case in Georgia last year, Young Thug has continuously thrown jabs at his former label mate Gunna over allegations that he cooperated with law enforcement to secure his freedom. Gunna did indeed cop an Alford plea after his arrest in 2022, but denied being a snitch or a rat dozens of times following widespread criticism within the hip-hop community. All the while, Thugga remained fairly quiet, aside from some shady tweet-and-deletes here and there.

As fans started to accept that maybe they’d never fully learn about what happened between Wunna and Thugga, things erupted earlier in September. Alleged leaked phone calls of Young Thug speaking to 21 Savage from jail hit the internet, all but confirming that the once-bountiful relationship between Gunna and Young Thug was no more. Other calls and audio leaked as well, including one soundbite where Thug himself appeared to be cooperating with law enforcement in an interrogation room.

Other recorded clips included one where he called GloRilla ugly, and another where he claimed to have paid for $50,000 streams of Gunna’s DS4EVER album. The flood of information was overwhelming, and it seems Thug has decided that it’s time to set the record straight.
