On Tuesday (Aug. 19), it was announced that Doechii would no longer appear at the festival, but a reason had not been given for the withdrawal. Writing on its Instagram page, the festival said in a statement, “We’re very sorry to announce that Doechii will no longer be performing at her upcoming shows. She is an incredible artist, and, like all of her fans, we were hugely excited to see her on stage.”

Doechii also pulled out of two other festivals, Paris’ Rock en Seine (Aug. 21) and Bristol’s Forwards (Aug. 24); both posted similar statements without reason or explanation. Doechii has yet to comment on the decision.

All Points East has shared on its Instagram page that the London-based musician FKA Twigs will join the lineup on Saturday’s bill in Victoria Park in Doechii’s place. RAYE will remain the day’s headliner, with Tyla, JADE and more also set to appear.

The festival saw headline performances from Sault, Cleo Sol and Chronixx on Aug. 15, and dance duo Chase & Status on Aug. 16. This weekend, Barry Can’t Swim, RAYE and The Maccabees will top the bill at the three remaining days of Aug. 22-25.

FKA Twigs has toured throughout Europe in recent weeks, and recently announced the follow-up to her 2025 LP Eusexua is coming soon. “New music – I am full and abundant and ready to give birth. Her name is Afterglow. And my labor shall commence next month,” she said on stage at her performance at Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands earlier this week. A representative for the artist confirmed to Pitchfork that Afterglow is “not a deluxe version” of Eusexua, “but rather, a whole new album.”

Doechii last performed in the U.K. at Glastonbury Festival in England in June, with a set that Billboard U.K. called an “all-time great debut” at the storied event, and that it was “one for the history books.”

She has since performed at a number of festivals throughout Europe and North America over the past month, including Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and Lollapalooza in Chicago at the start of August. She last performed at Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium on Aug. 17. Doechii is set to tour North America from October onward as part of her Live From the Swamp tour.
