Two shootings, one intentional car crash happen in Ithaca on Friday


ITHACA, N.Y. (WETM) — Two separate shootings and one intentional car crash related to one of the shootings took place in Ithaca on Friday afternoon, police say.
According to the Ithaca Police Department, one shooting occurred at about 1:35 p.m. on the 400 block of Adams Street on June 28, and a second shooting happened about 20 minutes later on the 100 block of West Village Place. Police say they found spent shell casings and bullet impacts at both locations. Neither of these shootings has any known victims.

Later in the afternoon, police were called to a motor vehicle crash on the 300 block of Third Street at 4:04 p.m. According to the police, one vehicle involved intentionally rammed into the other vehicle, and this crash was related to the shooting on Adams Street.
Police say that the shootings and crash were not random, and the people involved in each incident seem to know each other. The Ithaca Police Department is currently investigating all three incidents, and criminal charges are pending.
