Orange Look to Continue Momentum After Bye

Syracuse may not have an opponent this weekend, but the momentum of the season continues to build.

The No. 22 Orange have been back on the practice field early this week, with a break scheduled for the tail end of the week for coaches to utilize the off weekend for recruiting, but the preparations continue for a tough stretch ahead.

All season, the team focus has been to go 1-0 each week. That won’t change next week when No. 14 NC State comes to town, but the game will certainly have a little more attention on the national scale.

If trends continue, the Oct. 15 matchup with the Wolfpack will be the first matchup between two ranked opponents in the Dome since 2001 and just the 15th time in program history that the Salt City has hosted a game between two ranked opponents.

“I can’t wait until we come back from this break and get to see the Dome when we host NC State and it’s wild and crazy in here,” Head Coach Dino Babers said in his opening remarks after the Orange defeated Wagner last week. “We need our 12th man if we’re going to continue this run in the second half.”

‘Cuse has given fans plenty to cheer about through five weeks. The Orange are unbeaten and broke back into the AP Top-25 for the first time in three years. Also off to its first 2-0 start in league play since joining the ACC, the Orange now sit as one of just two unbeaten teams remaining in the conference.

Tickets to the NC State game and three-game ticket packages to the entirety of the remaining home schedule are available now at Cuse.com/Tickets.
