Orange Travel to Raleigh Sunday


The Syracuse Women’s Basketball team (11-14, 4-11 ACC) are on the road this weekend to face No. 4 North Carolina State (24-3, 15-1 ACC) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20. Fans can watch the game on regional sports networks (YES Network locally).
The Orange are coming off a home loss to No. 23 Virginia Tech (20-6, 12-3 ACC) in which Teisha Hyman recorded her 14th straight game in double figures with 18 points. Chrislyn Carr was the only other Orange to score in double figures with 14 points. Syracuse has won its last two road games defeating both Virginia and Pittsburgh on Feb. 8 and 13, respectively. Hyman is Syracuse’s leading scorer with 15.4 points per game.
No. 4 NC State is coming off a 92-61 win over Wake Forest.The Wolfpack had five players score in double-digits in their league-leading 15th ACC win of the season. Elissa Cunane leads the team with 13.1 ppg and ads a team-high 7.7 rebounds per game. NC State rides a five-game win streak into Sunday’s matinee.
NC State has won the last four meetings between the two squads and the Orange are 1-4 all-time at Reynolds Coliseum. Syracuse’s last road win over the Wolfpack was Feb. 14, 2016 in a 55-52 win.
