KATSEYE Spills the Tea at Jollibee | Takes Us Out

KATSEYE takes us out to Jollibee, where the girl group spills the tea about their viral Gap ad that took the world by storm. They share how their careers have taken off in a year with their debut at the VMAs and Lollapalooza, their thoughts on a possible Grammy nomination, why they think “Gabriella” took off, being open with their fans, the online discourse surrounding their group, how they’ve grown since the documentary came out and more!

Manon Bannerman: Let me in!

Tetris Kelly: Wait, KATSEYE?!

Manon Bannerman: Oh, wait, can we reshoot that? I literally was like …

Excuse me, are you guys KATSEYE?

KATSEYE: Wait, yeah!

KATSEYE at Jollibee? Come on, come on in! Good to see you ladies. We gotta order some food and get this thing popping all right?

Sophia Laforteza: Wait, can we order anything we want?

You can get whatever you want.

Megan Skiendiel: Whatever I want?!

Whatever we want!

Sophia Laforteza: I need a bucket of chicken joy!

Server: Hi! How are you?

KATSEYE: Good! How are you?

Server: Joyful.

Sophia Laforteza: What are we ordering?

Well, OK see, I was gonna lean into you. You are the Filipino queen over here, the princess.

Lara: I think you should lead the way.

Sophia Laforteza: OK, my go to Jollibee meal is definitely a two-piece Chickenjoy meal deal.

Server: You want to trade in mac and cheese? That one’s the better one.

Sophia Laforteza: Mac and cheese?

Server: Yeah.

Megan Skiendiel: OK, I’ll try mac and cheese.

Sophia Laforteza: The Jolly spaghetti is pretty fire.

Lara: Sofia, the adobo rice or mac and cheese?

Sophia Laforteza: Girl.

Lara: Adobo rice.

Server: That’s great. How about you?

Manon Bannerman: Peach mango pie and the pineapple …?

Server: Quencher.

Manon Bannerman: Yes.

Server: Do you want spicy on your chicken?

Manon Bannerman: No, I’ll keep it basic.

Daniela: Wait, what about mashed potatoes?

Yoonchae: I’ll have a two-piece Chickenjoy meal.

And then I’m gonna do the burger steak.

Server: The burger steak?

Yes.

Manon Bannerman: Thank you so much.

All right, then let’s do this. Let’s sit down.

Sophia Laforteza: I’m so excited to eat.

So I think this is all you, right? This is Filipino, like, what’s the vibe of Jollibee?

Sophia Laforteza: Oh my gosh. So Jollibee is literally, like, I grew up having Jollibee like all the time, almost every single week with my family. It was just so accessible and never disappointing, ever. And I remember we first went to the Philippines, like all of us together, about exactly a year ago to have a mall show and do all this promo. And I remember I specifically requested for our food to be Jollibee at our mall show.

Keep watching for more!
