More About KEY

KEY is a member of the South Korean boy band SHINee, originally consisting of five members: KEY, Taemin, Minho, Onew and Jonghyun. The boy band was formed under SM Entertainment in 2008 and debuted with their now hit song “Replay.” KEY serves as the group’s lead dancer, lead rapper and vocalist, but his role has evolved as the group has. Each member has since had solo careers of their own, although the band has continued activity as four following the death of vocalist Jonghyun in 2017. The band is exceedingly popular both in South Korea and across the world for hits such as “View,” “Ring Ding Dong,” “Lucifer” and “Juliette.”

KEY’s solo career began back in 2018 with the release of his single “Forever Yours,” followed by his first album, titled Face, in the same year. The singer became known for his solo tracks such as “Bad Love,” “Killer” and “Villain.” Since the release of his first solo album, KEY has come out with two other albums, one titled Gasoline in 2022 and, his most recent work, HUNTER, in 2025.

Beyond SHINee, SM Entertainment also reps major K-pop acts such as EXO, Girls Generation, Super Junior, aespa, NCT, Red Velvet and BoA, among others.
