Flavor Flav Auctions Diamond-Studded Clock Off His Neck For $15K at 2024 BMAC Gala
There’s no telling how many clocks Flavor Flav has in his lucrative custom collection, but he decided to give one up for charity earlier this week.
Flav attended the Black Music Action Coalition Gala in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Thursday night (Oct. 3) and the Public Enemy rapper stepped up to auction off a blinged-out clock straight off his neck to benefit BMAC initiatives.
“I want to auction off my clock, man,” Flav said while walking toward the stage in a suit. “We can go to $80,000 or $90,000 for this clock.”
A bidding war ensued for the bedazzled Flavor Flav accessory while he was on stage. The winner at the gala ultimately coughed up $15,000 to get their hands on Flav’s prized possession.
“Sold,” Flav shouted before he jumped off stage and fitted the winning man with the black clock right around his neck.
Per TMZ, the iced-out clock was crafted by Rock N Stones by Kellz. The $15,000 donation will go toward initiatives to help address “systemic racism within the music industry” while also preparing the “next generation of industry leaders.”
Outside of Flav’s appearance, other rapper such as Gunna and LL COOL J were honored throughout the night in addition to R&B legend Usher, Billboard’s 2024 Entertainer of the Year.
“When most are turning down the volume around social, racial and economic justice, we’re doubling down on efforts and spotlighting the positive and meaningful impact that the music industry has made on society, which is what we hope to inspire with this event,” BMAC CEO Willie “Prophet” Stiggers said ahead of the organization’s fourth annual gala.
Flav is always down to help out for a good cause. Watch the auction clip over at TMZ.
