Nicki Minaj Teases She’s Recorded ‘Your Favorite Song’ on Upcoming ‘Pink Friday 2’ Deluxe
With Nicki Minaj set to embark on the second North American leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, she appears to have some music ready to give fans a brand new experience.
After announcing plans for her Pink Friday 2 deluxe on Aug. 20, she couldn’t contain her excitement on Monday (Aug. 26) about a recent studio session, which produced a song that has her promising that it will “probably” be the fan favorite on the deluxe and a “top five” from the PF2 era overall.
“Well, Barbz- Didn’t really want to have to speak on this but I just can’t stay quiet about it any longer,” she tweeted. “Last night, I recorded what will probably be your favorite song on the deluxe. It will immediately go into your TOP 5 of the entire PF2 era. OH MY FREAKING GOODNESSWDRFFHJKGV.”
The Barbz went into a frenzy feeding off Nicki’s elation. “I hope this is true. I don’t think red ruby can be topped but we’ll see,” one person replied.
Another added: “OH IM SAT!!!!!!!! RELEASE HER TONIGHT.”
Nicki also teased a guest verse from an unnamed artist she received slated to land on the deluxe.
“WHOA,” she tweeted on Aug. 22. “WTFFFFFFFFFFCCJXKHXKDIYCODISIXKXIDYDKDJGXOYXIYXOYXKYDKYDKSISIDIYXIGXIYXITXYIXIYXKYXIYWURSOUDLHFPUK THE VERSE I JUST GOT BACK FOR #GagCityRELOADED the DELUXE ALBUM.”
Fans began attempting to guess who it might be joining her on the record, but she didn’t budge in keeping it a surprise.
Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour is slated to kick off again in Philly on Sept. 4. She’ll be making stops in NYC, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Kansas City, Jacksonville, Miami and more on the 22-city trek.
According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore earlier in May, the Pink Friday 2 World Tour grossed $67 million and sold 439,000 tickets for the first North American leg.
There’s no firm release date on the calendar for the Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded deluxe. PF2 was released in December 2023 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 228,000 album units sold in the first week.
