David Guetta Becomes First Artist to Earn 20 No. 1s on Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart

David Guetta makes history on Billboard’s latest Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (dated Dec. 13), as his collaboration with Teddy Swims and Tones and I, “Gone Gone Gone,” leaps six spots to No. 1.

Released Oct. 10 via What a DJ/Warner Records, the song earns Guetta his landmark 20th career No. 1 on the ranking, extending his record for the most leaders in the chart’s 22-year history. The song reigns thanks to a 48% increase in plays Nov. 29-Dec. 4 among 24/7 dance reporters and pop stations’ mix show hours, according to Luminate.

Here’s an updated look at the artists with the most Dance/Mix Show Airplay No. 1s:

  • 20, David Guetta
  • 18, Calvin Harris
  • 12, Rihanna
  • 10, The Chainsmokers
  • 8, Ellie Goulding
  • 7, Anabel Englund
  • 7, Illenium
  • 7, Madonna
  • 7, Tiësto

“Gone Gone Gone” is Guetta’s fourth Dance/Mix Show Airplay No. 1 of 2025. He becomes the first artist in the chart’s history to log four leaders in a calendar year.

Guetta first topped the chart in June 2007 with “The World Is Mine” featuring JD Davis. His No. 1 haul has especially ramped up in the 2020s, as 12 of his songs have led this decade.

“Gone Gone Gone” marks the first Dance/Mix Show Airplay No. 1 for both Teddy Swims and Tones and I. Radio-wise, the former has also topped Adult Contemporary, Adult Pop Airplay, Adult R&B Airplay and Pop Airplay, all with “Lose Control”; he also led Adult R&B Airplay with “Are You Even Real” with Giveon. Tones and I notches her first No. 1 on any Billboard radio chart.
