How to Watch Karol G’s ‘Tropicoqueta’-Inspired TV Special ‘La Premiere’

Karol G is gifting fans with a new TV special called La Premiere, just in time for the holiday season, TelevisaUnivision announced today (Dec. 4).

The one-hour special, produced by Bichota Films, is an immersive visual experience in celebration of Karol’s chart-topping album Tropicoqueta that stormed in at No. 1 on Top Latin Albums Chart and No. 3 on the overall Billboard 200 in July.

Filmed across Mexico City, Los Angeles, Cartagena, and Medellín, “La Premiere” will include new adaptations and unique versions of songs from the album, such as an acoustic performance of “Coleccionando Heridas” alongside Marco Antonio Solís and more than 200 fans.

Likewise, Karol surprised fans at the historic Pueblito Paisa in Medellín, where she performed “Tu Perfume.” Other locations featured in the special include Teatro Heredia in Cartagena, Olaya Herrera Airport in Medellín, and LA Hangar Studios in Los Angeles. Special guests also include Mariah Angeliq and Eddy Lover, among others.

“After a year of building this universe… the moment has arrived to show you what ‘Tropicoqueta,’ my album, looks like—in energy, in images, in my mind,” the “Bichota” singer expressed in an Instagram post. “‘The Premiere’ was born from a personal dream… to see families reunited again, celebrating, feeling, dancing, all together in front of the TV in the living room. Just like in the old days!!!!!”

“La Premiere” will air at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 7 on Univision in the United States and on ViX Premium in the U.S., Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
