MGK Teamed Up With Daughter Casie For Baker Family Emo Jam on ‘Forget Me Too’ at Warped Tour
It was a family affair at the Warped Tour in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday (Nov. 15) when MGK teamed up with his 16-year-old daughter Casie for a Baker clan emo showcase. The teen the singer shares with his ex, Emma Cannon, hopped on the mic with her dad at the revived punk showcase, howling out some of the lines sung by Halsey on the original version from MGK’s 2020 Tickets to My Downfall album.
Casie, wearing camo pants and a black crop top, with a little purse hanging from her right shoulder, came bounding out on stage and hopped on the mic with her dad as the original Halsey vocals played in the background, howling, “It’s eating me alive/ We’d both be better off alone/ Still think I’d get you on the phone/ With one last breath in me/ I’d die before I let you leave.”
With his arm around Casie’s neck, MGK clearly reveled in the special moment, as Casie stayed close to him and jumped back in on the bridge to sing, “Hey you/ Tell me why you do the things that make me hate you.” Father and daughter then did a little dance together as MGK asked the audience to “make some noise for my beautiful daughter” at the end of the tune before planting a sweet kiss on Casie’s head. MGK also has a nine-month-old daughter, Saga Blade, with actress Megan Fox.
MGK clearly had a blast during his Warped headlining set at Camping World Stadium, which was also the first stop on his Lost Americana tour. The rapper-turned-rocker posted a series of snaps from his adventure on Instagram, with a very Warped-coded caption paying homage to one of the tour’s veterans, Fall Out Boy: “hey warped,” he wrote, “thnks fr the mmrs.” The carousel included a snap of MGK making his way to the stage, a cute backstage snap with Casie, some footage of their duet and a series of live pics and video from his performance, which also included a pop-in from singer Julia Wolf for the debut live performance of their cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”
MGK’s tour will continue on Tuesday night (Nov. 18) with a gig in Glendale, Ariz. at the Desert Diamond Arena.
