Juanes, DannyLux & More: Who Had the Best New Latin Music Release This Week?
This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features new music, including fresh picks by Laura Pausini and Yami Safdie, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón in a collab with Juanes, HUMBE and DannyLux and more.
Música mexicana continues to expand, attracting artists across genres to dabble in the style of music. The latest to do so is Juanes, who teams up with La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho for a new version of his song “Una Noche Contigo.”
About the collab, the Colombian artist said in a statement, “As a songwriter, it’s always rewarding for me when one of my songs is performed by musicians from another genre who are looking to create something unique.” Camacho added, “Music is a universal language that unites cultures and feelings. When performed from the heart, it always manages to touch the soul of the audience.”
Meanwhile, Pausini and Safdie reimagine Joan Sebastian’s “Eso y Más,” a guitar-driven ballad released in the early 2000s that instantly became one of Sebastian’s most memorable songs. Pausini and Safdie’s take on the classic will be featured in the Italian star’s upcoming album, Yo Canto 2.
Other new releases this week include music from Neton Vega, Bomba Estéreo and De La Rose. Which release this week do you think is best? Give these new releases a spin and vote for your favorite new Latin music release below:
Editor’s Note: The results of the weekly New Music Latin poll will be posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. This poll closes at 7:30 a.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 17.
