Olivia Rodrigo Dropped a Limited-Edition 7-Inch Vinyl of Her Lollapalooza Weezer Mini-Set
Olivia Rodrigo‘s dreams came true this summer when Weezer joined her on stage during her headlining set at Lollapalooza in Chicago. She loved it so much that on Tuesday (Nov. 11) the singer surprise released a limited edition 7″ vinyl single commemorating the pop-rock summit.
“i still can’t believe i got to perform with @Weezer at @Lollapalooza this summer!! we just launched a limited edition 7” vinyl featuring our live performance audio of ‘Buddy Holly’ and ‘Say It Ain’t So,’” she wrote on X of the two-song blue vinyl pressing limited to 5,000 copies in the U.S. “get urs before they’re gone!”
That’s the good news. That bad news is that Rodrigo’s Singles Day celebration is already sold out according to the singer’s official website.
In September, Rodrigo, 22, announced another live effort, revealing that she is releasing Live at Glastonbury (A BBC Recording), which chronicles her entire set from this summer’s Glastonbury Festival in England. The live album will feature songs from Rodrigo’s Sour and Guts albums, as well as her duets with the Cure’s Robert Smith on his band’s iconic hits “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven.” All of Rodrigo’s net proceeds from the Cure songs will benefit Doctors Without Borders.
Over the weekend, Rodrigo was at it again, rocking out for another one of her musical heroes when she took the stage with Feist to pay tribute to the White Stripes following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The singer, who previously honored Carly Simon in 2002 and Sheryl Crow in 2023 during their Rock Hall inductions, teamed up to cover the Stripes’ 2001 song “I Think We’re Gonna Be Friends.”
