Queer Jams of the Week: New Music From The Last Dinner Party, Kim Petras, King Princess & More

In need of some new tunes from your favorite queer artists? We’ve got you covered. Billboard Pride is proud to present the latest edition of Queer Jams of the Week, our roundup of some of the best new music releases from LGBTQ+ artists.

From The Last Dinner Party’s long-awaited new album to Kim Petras’ new electropop banger, check out just a few of our favorite new releases from this week below:

The Last Dinner Party, From the Pyre

Expectations for The Last Dinner Party’s new album From the Pyre were sky-high — after wowing audiences and critics alike with last year’s Prelude to Ecstasy, the pop-rock quintet had plenty of anticipation to contend with. So we’re happy to report that the new album is excellent, even if it’s not exactly what you were expecting. Over 10 freewheeling tracks, the band successfully weaves even more of their mythos, while spinning into new genres, tackling new subject matter and having the most fun possible while doing it all.

Kim Petras, “I Like Ur Look”

For anyone who’s wanted to hear Kim Petras’ 2025 take on her 2017 sound, may we humbly introduce “I Like Ur Look.” On this new electropop gem, the pop singer remakes her love of fashion into a cheeky bit of innuendo, as she insists to the subject of the song that “you definitely look better on me.” With glitchy production courtesy of Petras, Nightfeelings, Margo XS and Frost Children, “I Like Ur Look” is exactly the kind of catchy sugar-rush fans have come to love from Petras’ discography.

King Princess, “Cherry”

With her latest victory lap, King Princess is doing what she does best — yearning for someone she knows she shouldn’t be with. “Cherry,” the one-off single to cap off the singer’s Girl Violence cycle, sees Mikaela Straus wailing on both guitar and vocals, as she stares at a girl she knows is toxic, but still asks her to “take me face-down, diva.” But by the time she gets to the end of her gloriously horny new song, KP successfully fights her own urges, declaring definitively that “I don’t need you around me,” tying a nice, neat bow around her latest album era.

Maggie Lindemann, I Feel Everything

Maggie Lindemann would like to tell you some hard truths the best way she knows how. Throughout her new album I Feel Everything, Lindemann makes good on the titular declaration, talking about everything from leaving a reactive lover (“Split”) to the high from a messy-but-fun relationship (“Joyride”). All the while, the singer weaves in an updated pop-rock sound that will be sure to have fans banging their heads along to the beat all weekend long.

Courtney Barnett, “Stay in Your Lane”

Courtney Barnett knows you think you mean well, but she also needs you to stop giving her advice. On her propulsive new indie-rock single “Stay In Your Lane,” Barnett commands a fuzzy bassline and a series of excellent guitar riffs to punctuate her demand, telling would-be armchair experts to butt out of her life.
