Hawryschuk, Swart Named to Senior All-Star Game Rosters

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse graduate students Emily Hawryschuk and Sam Swart will compete at the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2022 Senior All-Star Game on Sunday, June 5. The Division I game is set for a 12:45 p.m. opening draw at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland. Swart will compete for the North squad, while Hawryschuk is a member of the South roster.
 
Swart started all 21 games in the midfield for the Orange this season. She recorded 39 points on 26 goals and a career-high 13 assists. Swart also picked up a personal-best 19 ground balls to go along with six caused turnovers and three draw controls.
 
Hawryschuk finished second on the squad in points (87), goals (63) and assists (24) in 2022. She ends her career as Syracuse’s all-time leader in goals with 272. Hawryschuk became the fifth player in program history to record 300 career points and ranks fourth on the school career points list with 341.
 
Sunday’s schedule at Tierney Field includes the Division III All-Star Game at 11 a.m. followed by the Division I contest. The Division II squads cap off the event with their game at 2:30 p.m. Admission for all three games is free of charge.
