Official Teaser Drops For New Harry Potter HBO Series

Hogwarts is returning to our TV screens! HBO Max has officially dropped the teaser trailer for the new series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This brings the popular book series to a different format, as there has never been a Harry Potter television series before. 

The new HBO series is planned to cover all 7 books from the book series. According to BBC, the series is expected to take 10 years to complete in total as they are planning to cover one book per season. 

Based on the teaser trailer alone, the series seems to demonstrate darker visuals, a significant difference from the original movie series. According to MSN, this has sparked mixed reactions from the fans. 

Some Potterheads argue that the series immediately starting with darker visuals doesn’t leave room for the story to shift to as the series’ mood gets more ominous.. However, the immediate dark visuals could mean the series is covering more of Harry’s home life,demonstrating his traumatic childhood. Enthusiasts also have mixed feelings about the show’s new cast and how it will never be the same as the original movies. 

It will be interesting to see what this new series brings to the television world, and what kind of audience it will bring in as we get closer to the release date.
