Olivia Rodrigo is Soft Launching Her New Era

Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS era is officially coming to a close. The pop singer has been teasing her new album, and it’s presumed by fans that she will be rebranding from purple to pink.
Rodrigo, best known for her SOUR and GUTS albums, has always had strong visual themes correlating with each era. The aforementioned releases both had purple themes, but as she teases this new step in her musical career, there have been strong hints of pink.
Fans started to speculate after LiviesHQ, the official Olivia Rodrigo fan account, posted clips of a mural being painted in Los Angeles with Rodrigo’s new logo. While the wall was originally being painted purple, it has turned more and more pink each day. This unique marketing of Rodrigo’s new stage highlights the shift from purple to pink, supported by the LiviesHQ TikTok account replacing the purple heart in their name with a pink heart.
With the connotations surrounding pink, fans are speculating that it will be a love album. Rodrigo’s official website also has the word “love” on the main tab where people register for updates, tying to the speculation that the album will have a romantic undertone. There is also speculation that Rodrigo might be hinting at a possible collaboration with fellow pop singer Conan Gray. Gray just announced his Wishbone Deluxe album that comes out in April, and his new single “The Best” which comes out this Friday. The deluxe album announcement coinciding with Rodrigo soft launching her new era is causing fans to theorize a potential partnership, especially since the two pop singers are close friends. Rodrigo also updated her SOUR Hotline, which included “the best is yet to come.” with Gray’s first single from his deluxe album being called “The Best,” possibly hinting at a Rodrigo feature.
