By: Madison Sottile

Kelly Clarkson has officially announced that her hit 7 season show is coming to an end, detailing her next steps in a recent instagram post. She has worked with NBC, hosting various actors and celebrities over the past few years and shows her gratitude for these opportunities, but she believes ending her show is best for her children, stating it is  “necessary and right for the next chapter of our lives.”

In August of 2025, Clarkson’s Ex-husband passed away due to melanoma, having a huge impact on the family, leading Clarkson to this decision. Her daily schedule tied her down so this choice held a lot of weight but was made carefully. She reassures her fans that she is not disappearing completely, she may make appearances on The Voice, and release some more long-awaited music.

The show has followed her from Los Angeles to New York, spanning 7 years of her life and gaining over 2 billion annual views across multiple social media platforms. The Kelly Clarkson show has received 24 Daytime Emmy Awards over its course of airing, demonstrating the connection and content viewers found with Clarkson.

Following this announcement it was revealed that singer Pink will be appearing on the show as a guest host for a week in honor of women’s history month. Clarkson shared her disappointment in not being able to host alongside Pink and her long-standing respect and admiration. Pink is ecstatic about stepping in for Kelly describing it as a “brand new feat” for her and women around the world. Kelly Clarkson is excited to spend more time with her loved ones and step out of the spotlight for a while.
