Viral comic and TikToker Jake Shane is making his Broadway debut this month in All Out.
Shane collaborated with People Magazine to announce the role on Feb. 9, and will make his debut on Feb. 17 at the Nederlander Theatre. Also featured in the star-studded cast are Nicholas Braun, Jenny Slate, and Ray Romano. Each of these actors will be part of the ensemble portraying vignette-style moments, as the show follows an unorthodox ‘sketch’ format. Based on Simon Rich’s writing, it features stylized readings of different stories of his originally published in The New Yorker.
Another major spectacle of the production is the live music, performed by brother-sister duo Lawrence. In tandem with the New Yorker-inspired dialogue, one of the magazine’s cartoonists, Emily Flake, has been doing illustrations for the show.
Shane is replacing the previously-cast Ashley Park, who rescinded her role due to scheduling conflicts. The show is scheduled to run through March 8, making Shane’s casting the final one. Rehearsals are officially underway, as the Tiktoker captioned an Instagram post “… on my way to my first rehearsal for my first Broadway show …” on Feb. 10.
Since 2023, Shane has hosted his podcast, “Therapuss with Jake Shane.” His following of over 5 million helped him earn a 2025 Webby Award for Best Comedy Creator, and his two North American comedy tours included crowded shows and a sold-out Radio City Music Hall performance. Shane also announced this morning that he was named chief creative officer at German candy company Katjes, as it expands its market into the US.
The influencer is certainly staying busy with his upcoming Broadway debut and new business venture, both said by him to have been long-time dreams.
