While cheering on Travis Kelce at the Christmas Day football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos, Taylor Swift made one employee’s holiday a lot more merry and bright.

According to Robyn Gentry, who posted Sunday (Dec. 28) on Facebook about working at Arrowhead Stadium during the match-up three days prior, the pop star gave her a hefty tip, which Billboard has confirmed. “She was running around telling everyone merry Christmas and came towards me, saying thank you so much for working on Christmas, please take this, Merry Christmas,” Gentry wrote.

“My mind just froze,” the employee continued. “Of course I said merry Christmas and thank you so much. Travis and her were smiling so big and just kept saying merry Christmas, thank you for working Christmas … I stopped to look at what was in my hand…. $600. My whole paycheck for two weeks.”

“I had just dropped that much for Christmas for 8 kids,” Gentry added, noting that she framed one of the $100 bills Swift gave her and shared a photo of the memento. “I immediately started crying … Taylor and Travis are beautifully kind people. It’s very true, incredible and very kind people.”

Swift’s parents joined her in supporting her fiancé at the Dec. 25 face-off, which marked the Chiefs’ last home game of the NFL season. Fans have also been wondering whether it was Kelce’s last home game of his career, as many people have been speculating that the tight end will retire after this year.

“I’ll let that be a decision I’ll make with my family, friends, the Chiefs organization when the time comes,” Kelce said of possible retirement on Christmas, adding that he was feeling “a whole lot of emotions,” according to ESPN.

The 14-time Grammy winner — who got engaged to Kelce this past August — has been present at all of her partner’s Christmastime games since they first started dating. On Dec. 25, 2023, she watched him take on the Las Vegas Raiders while wearing an “87” Santa hat, and on Dec. 21 last year, she wore a festive red jacket as the Chiefs faced off against the Houston Texans.

Swift has also demonstrated her generosity in more ways than one this holiday season. As revealed in recent days, the Eras Tour headliner contributed hefty donations to Feeding America and the American Heart Association.
