Billboard can exclusively reveal that Amazon Live will stream the Jamaica Strong benefit concert on Dec. 12, beginning at 9 p.m. E.T. The show will help raise funds and connect donations for Jamaicans in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, which devastated the island in October. Net proceeds from ticket sales and in-stadium donations will go directly toward the Jamaica Official Hurricane Relief & Recovery Fund.

The Jamaica Strong benefit concert, which was announced Nov. 12, will feature a blockbuster cross-generational lineup that includes Shaggy, Sean Paul, Kes, Chronic Law, T.O.K, Tessane Chin, Aidonia, Inner Circle, Ky-Mani Marley, Teejay, Richie Stephens, Gramps Morgan, Mikey Spice, Marcia Griffiths, I-Octane, DeMarco, Kevin Downswell and Maxi Priest.

Supported by Danny and Paula Wegman, American Friends of Jamaica and WATA by Wisynco, the Amazon Live broadcast will also display donation resources via the shoppable carousel on Amazon.com or by typing “Shop the Show” on mobile devices while watching on Prime Video or Fire TV Channels.

On Oct. 28, nearly 40 years after Hurricane Gilbert, Hurricane Melissa became the strongest storm to strike Jamaica in the island’s history. With a death toll of at least 45 in Jamaica alone, according to the Associated Press, Melissa’s devastation inspired Jamaica’s biggest stars to spring into action and support their home’s most affected communities.

Friday’s Jamaica Strong concert will precede a second, separate ‘Nice Up Jamaica benefit show, led by Yellowman and Johnny Osbourne, on Dec. 16.
