Milo J Analyzes His ‘Bajo De La Piel’ Music Video | Billboard News
Milo J shares personal stories about his music video “Bajo De La Piel” and tells Billboard why it was so important for him to be actively involved in the project.
Milo J: This song, “Bajo De La Piel,” more than as an intro to the album, also works as if it were a kind — you know when a movie is the trailer? — it would work as … as fulfilling that function. This song is the one that best defines the concept quickly and the one that best, sonically, also represents it. And it talks a bit about these people who are no longer here, who embody your body. And also talking about the scars of the past, it’s also like I take the voice of those people, saying just that in the song, and that’s why it’s filmed in a cemetery in Santiago del Estero, but in Negra Muerta.
And there in the video you can see actors in the music video directly. There next to me, on the right, is the violinist from “La Vida Era Más Corta.” Sitting in the car on the other side is the brother of the one they kill in “Niño,” for example. Behind him are Cuti and Roberto Carabajal, who are the features from “El Invisible,” who are also on the album. Well, over there on the right, also on the motorcycle, is the current Lucía, whose name is Emesol. More than anything because they are a universe, but they are diverse stories and they all embody in this voice that would be me in this music video. That’s also why it was important that I appear in this video. The idea was this from the beginning. The color, everything, the aesthetic, the mix of things, it was an idea more than initial. It’s not like I was surprised when they sent me the compilation.
