Women’s Hall of Fame: New CEO, induction ceremony moving to Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The National Women’s Hall of Fame is under new leadership — and has plans for Rochester in 2026!
On Monday, Dr. Kristen Oehlrich was appointed as the executive director and CEO of the Hall of Fame. Dr. Oehlrich has two decades of experience in museums, universities, and cultural institutions.
Dr. Oelrich plans to expand its national presence through innovative programs, educational initiatives, and tech-drawn storytelling.
“The National Women’s Hall of Fame is the nation’s first and oldest nonprofit organization and museum dedicated to honoring and celebrating the achievements of distinguished American women,” she said in a statement. “Our mission reminds us that progress depends on both courage and continuity. I’m inspired by our community’s dedication to honoring the past while collaboratively building an inspiring future.
Furthermore, the Hall of Fame announced that next year’s induction ceremony will be held in September. It has not been announced where in Rochester it will be held, but the Hall of Fame will reveal more details at a later date.
