Taylor Swift Unwraps New Collection of Holiday ‘Showgirl’ Vinyl — But Fans Have Less Than a Day to Shop
The show must go on, even during the holidays. On Monday (Nov. 24), Taylor Swift unveiled a collection of limited-edition holiday vinyl for The Life of a Showgirl — but Swifties better put the variants on their Christmas Wi$h Li$ts fast.
With three new vinyl versions of Showgirl now listed under the holiday section of the pop star’s online store, the collection will only be available to purchase for the next 18 hours or so, ending around 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday (Nov. 25). Among the new products are a clear disc with festive red streaks, titled the Honestly Wild Transparent Vinyl, and a tie-dye disc called the Lit My Sky Up Orange Metallic Vinyl.
The third comes with a sparkly pink disc dubbed the Sequins Are Forever Magenta Glitter Vinyl. Unlike past variants Swift has released in support of The Life of a Showgirl, the holiday releases all retain the original cover art of the 14-time Grammy winner lying in a bathtub.
Though fans have a limited shopping window for the vinyl, Swift’s store also has an array of festive clothing, trinkets and tree ornaments for sale in honor of the holiday season that will be available for longer. The vinyl drop comes as Showgirl secures its seventh straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “The Fate of Ophelia” has spent the same amount of time atop the Billboard Hot 100.
The collection also precedes another seasonal gift Santa Swift has teed up for fans. On Dec. 12, the musician will release her highly anticipated Eras Tour docuseries on Disney+, taking fans behind the scenes of how she pulled off the highest grossing trek of all time.
To tide Swifties over, she recently shared a trailer for the project, featuring cameos from Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran and Gracie Abrams. “I’m very aware of mysterious forces at play that I will never have any control of,” Swift says in the clip. “This show created a bonding experience for, like, 70,000 people all at once. There’s something very special about that.”
