LA Dodgers Star Kiké Hernández Trolls Drake During World Series Parade: ‘October’s Very Own’

As if losing a gut-wrenching Game 7 weren’t bad enough for Drake and the Toronto Blue Jays, the hits kept coming during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series parade on Monday.

Outfielder Kiké Hernández had some fun at Drake’s expense and took a playful shot at Drizzy when addressing the Dodger Stadium crowd on the mic. “It’s October’s Very Own!” he said, which felt as if he was ripping a WWE promo.

Hernández later made a witty reference to lyrics from Drake and Future’s 2015 hit “Big Rings.” “This really big team that has a lot of really big rings,” he said.

The Dodgers have captured three World Series titles since 2020 and became the first franchise to go back-to-back since the New York Yankees in 1999 and 2000.

Drake was in attendance for a couple of the World Series games in Toronto, and even after the torturous extra-innings loss in Game 7, the 6 God thanked the team for a “dream season.” “Congrats to the Jays for a dream season and a legendary World Series fight,” he wrote to his IG Story.

After the Jays took a 3-2 series lead following Game 5, Drake even had some fun trolling Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani with a pair of posts to his IG Story.

However, it came back to bite Drake once the Dodgers won the next two games in Toronto, including a classic Game 7 by a score of 5-4, which ripped the hearts out of Canada’s team, which was inches from capturing its first title since 1993.

The Dodgers poured salt in the wound for Drake when referencing lyrics from Kendrick Lamar’s scathing “Not Like Us” anthem in a team photo on social media after clinching the World Series on Saturday night. “THEY STILL NOT LIKE US,” the Dodgers wrote.
