Following the smash success that the film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc experienced, Jins Eyewear has dropped a collection of Chainsaw Man eyewear that anime fans won’t want to miss out on.
The eyewear collection includes five frames retailing for $190, all inspired by characters from the ever-popular anime and manga series, including Makima, Aki, Power and Denji. There’s even a Reze model, inspired by the new film and the character, otherwise known as Bomb Girl.
Additionally, each piece comes nestled in an ultra-cute Chainsaw Man-themed case with a starter-cord design, mirroring the one Denji has to pull to activate his powers, along with a cleaning cloth featuring Denji’s beloved sidekick Pochita. If you or a loved one is a fan of anime, especially Chainsaw Man, we’d highly suggest you snag this collection. It makes the perfect gift for the fashionable anime fan in your life, or for yourself.
Worldwide, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc made $141,161,147, with a breakdown of $108,200,000 internationally and $32,961,147 domestic, according to Box Office Mojo. These are impressive numbers, but here at ShopBillboard, we’re all about the music. The anime’s opening theme, titled “Kick Back” by Japanese musician Kenshi Yonezu, peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales. On Billboard Japan‘s Hot 100 charts, the track peaked at No. 1. Yonezu has three top 10 hits on Billboard‘s charts. Yonezu’s track was released digitally back in 2022, along with three physical releases.
Below we’ve highlighted the eyewear collection that you can shop online right now at Jins.com.
This model is inspired by the Chainsaw Man himself, Denji. The silhouette features a thin, bold bridge design modeled after Denji’s razor-sharp teeth, while the temples are accented with the starter rope motif. The inner temple tips are engraved with chainsaw blades, while the end pieces showcase Chainsaw Man’s distinctive “eyes.” The silhouette, like all the rest, aptly depicts the essence of Denji and his demon form. This is one of the more playful models in the collection, a standout for sure if you’re looking for something more stylistic.
Makima is a polarizing character — however, we’re sure these glasses are a hit. The Makima-inspired model comes in black with thick frames and rounded lenses, accompanied by subtle details hinting at the character’s striking yet haunting eyes. These are one of the plainer models in the collection, but one we can see people gravitating toward because of the subtle Makima-inspired design elements.
These Power-inspired frames are a favorite of ours. The model captures Power’s playful and utterly unserious disposition with nods to the character’s most iconic features, like her horns seen on the bridge design. You also get subtle cracked details, a callback to the mighty hammer she wields. The temple ends feature a charming design of Meowy, Power’s beloved cat, adding a touch of mischief to the look. The horn-esque detailing on the bridge is unlike anything we’ve seen from eyewear before, making it a must-have if you’re looking for more interesting frames. Unlike all of the models in this collection, this style has silver frames instead of black, another reason these Power frames are the most unique of the bunch.
Maybe we’re a bit biased, but these Aki frames are pretty epic. This is another plain style, much like the Makima ones, fixed with subtle details that nod to the character. The gray demi pattern evokes smoke from a cigarette, a favorite of Aki’s. Subtle motifs of his sword and the Future Devil, a demon Aki made a contract with, complete the look. The frames are less bulky than the other offerings in this collection. If you’re looking for a subdued silhouette with subtle nods to the anime, then this model should be in your shopping cart.
One of the most interesting models in the collection is the Reze model, named after the anime film’s arc centered around Bomb Girl. These are half frames adorned with a delicate flower motif accompanied by a subtle detail at the neckline reflecting Reze’s iconic grenade pin. While Reze is a lesser-known character, this design makes us want to know more. The unique frames are unlike anything we’ve seen before, a stylish offering for those anime fan trend setters.
Chainsaw Man centers around the main character Denji, a young man down on his luck who works as a Devil Hunter for the yakuza, trying to pay off the debt he inherited from his parents. Everything is going surprisingly well until the yakuza betrays him and has him killed.
On the verge of death, Denji’s beloved chainsaw-powered devil-dog Pochita made a deal with Denji and saved his life. This fused the two together, creating the unstoppable Chainsaw Man. The film takes place directly after the events of Chainsaw Man season one in what is called the Reze arc, also known as the Bomb Girl arc. It covers chapters 40 to 52 in the manga.
