(NEXSTAR) – DoorDash is alerting users of its popular delivery platform that an incident involving an employee allegedly led to a breach of user information.

DoorDash said in a news release late last week that the issue was traced to a social engineering scam that targeted the employee.

The San Francisco-based company said that as of Nov. 13 it had “no indication the data has been misused for fraud or identity theft.” The stolen information belonged to customers, Dashers and merchants.

The data accessed in the scam included full names, phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses, however DoorDash said no Social Security numbers, ID numbers, driver’s license information or financial account information were taken.

DoorDash said it is investigating the breach and has reached out to law enforcement.

To prevent future scams DoorDash says it has rolled out security enhancements, implemented additional training and hired an external firm to assist in the investigation.

Anyone with additional questions about the breach can contact the company at (833) 918-8030.
