Anne Hathaway & Meryl Streep Reunite in ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Teaser Trailer Soundtracked by Madonna
The Devil Wears Prada is officially back in vogue, with the first teaser for the film’s long-awaited sequel arriving Wednesday (Nov. 12) featuring a perfect song sync from Madonna.
In the 50-second clip, viewers are transported back to the fictional Runway magazine office in New York City as the one and only Miranda Priestly struts through the halls in chic red heels. All the while, we hear the iconic strings signifying the intro of Madge’s Billboard Hot 100-topping hit “Vogue.”
After Meryl Streep’s character enters the elevator, Anne Hathaway — who reprises her role as Andy Sachs from the original 2006 film — joins her just before the doors close. “Miranda,” the former protégé says to her onetime mentor.
Giving Andy one of her signature derisive looks — which cuts through even though she’s wearing dark sunglasses — Miranda says, “Took you long enough.”
The clip marks the first look fans have gotten at The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is set to hit theaters in May 2026. Also returning from the first film are Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt.
Madonna is no stranger to the Devil Wears Prada universe, either. “Vogue” was also used for one of the 2006 movie’s most memorable montages, in which Andy models various high-fashion outfits in the streets of NYC, finally winning the approval of Miranda.
Though many details about the sequel are under wraps, Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to show how Miranda, as the longtime editor-in-chief of Runway, tackles the decline of the print magazine industry. Many fresh faces will appear alongside the O.G.s, including Lady Gaga, per reports.
