Watch Zohran Mamdani Make a Surprise Cameo at PinkPantheress’ NYC Show to Urge People to Vote

With just over a week until Election Day, NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani made a surprise appearance during PinkPantheress’ Brooklyn concert on Friday (Oct. 24).

The British singer’s “True Romance” performance was interrupted by a Mamdani cameo, as the Democratic candidate — who was in the audience — appeared on the screen, flashing a message urging NYC residents to vote this year.

“Our Time Has Come Vote Nov 4,” was written across both of his hands. Mamdani smiled for the camera and received a roaring ovation from the Kings Theater audience.

PinkPantheress thought fast and moved across the stage while performing to somehow find a marker, as she returned the favor with a message co-signing Mamdani written out on her hands. “We ♡ U,” she wrote.

Pink’s An Evening With PinkPantheress residency-style tour continues on Monday (Oct. 27) north of the border in Toronto before heading to Chicago this weekend, and then to the West Coast for shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland.

As for Mamdani, he’ll be on the mayoral ballot next week against independent candidate Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa; the winner will replace current mayor Eric Adams, who withdrew from the race in late September.

PinkPantheress’ show wasn’t the first music-related appearance for Mamdani. In September, he made his way to All Things Go 2025 and made a cameo on stage with Lucy Dacus.
