Panic! At the Disco Announces ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ 20th Anniversary Box Set
Panic! At the Disco is issuing a special re-release of their seminal debut, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.
After performing a highly anticipated reunion show at Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival over the Oct. 18-19 weekend, Panic! hopped on Instagram on Monday (Oct. 20) to announce that the nostalgic show in Vegas wasn’t the only special thing planned.
Panic! At the Disco revealed that it would be dropping off a limited edition boxset on Jan. 23 that would include a remastered copy of A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, 11 unreleased demos and a release of 2006’s Live In Denver exclusively on vinyl. They also announced the premiere Live In Denver would drop on YouTube on Monday as well.
Panic! At the Disco performed what was believed to be their final show in Manchester in 2023. The concert had capped off Panic!’s Viva Las Vengeance Tour, and frontman Brandon Urie wrote in a lengthy statement on social media at the time that his band’s “chapter” had come to an end. More specifically, Urie said he would be embarking on a new journey into fatherhood.
“Sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin,” Urie wrote in part. “We’ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard… Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure.”
Fans rejoiced when Panic! was announced as a headliner at When We Were Young, and rejoiced even further when the band revealed they’d do a full run-thorough of its beloved debut album, which dropped on Sept. 27, 2005. The band performed all 13 tracks off Fever before running through its other big hits from over the years, including “Nine in the Afternoon,” “This Is Gospel” and more.
