‘Monsta X: Connect X In Cinemas’ Live Movie Slated to Hit Screens Across the Globe Later This Year

K-pop group Monsta X will beam into movie theaters around the globe on Dec. 3 with the concert movie Monsta X: Connect X in Cinemas. The live concert film shot over three nights in July of this year during the group’s run of gigs at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea will also screen on Dec. 7 in a limited run.

The movie also serves as a tribute to the decade-long journey shared by members Joohoney, I.M., Hyungwon, Kihyun, Minhyuk and Shownu with their fandom, known as MONBEBE. The movie, brought to screens by Trafalgar Releasing and CJ4DPLEX, will be shown on regular screens, as well as the latter’s specialized formats: SCREENX, 4DX AND ULTRA 4DX.

Tickets for the movie and venue information for all participating territories will be available beginning on Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. ET here.

According to a release, the movie celebrates the group’s decade-long rise with, “exclusive, never-before-seen content, featuring not only a setlist filled with spectacular performances but also a powerful live band session.” MONBEBE can expect to hear new songs including “Fire & Ice,” as well as favorites such as “BEASTMODE,” “WHO DO U LOVE?” and “Secrets.” The film will also include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the tour prep and “deeply heartfelt” interviews in which the group’s members reflect on their careers and the making of the two-hour film co-directed by Yeji Lee and Yoondong Oh.

“This release marks a special moment for MONSTA X, celebrating their 10th anniversary as a group,” said Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby in a statement. “We’re proud to partner with CJ 4DPLEX to bring this milestone event to cinemas around the world, offering fans the chance to come together and share in the excitement as a global community.”

After Joohoney, Hyungwon and Kihyun were the final group members to complete their mandatory South Korean military service earlier this year, the band hopped back in the studio and released The X EP in September to mark their decade anniversary.
