Katie Bain Bringing Her New Coachella Book ‘Desert Dreams’ to Billboard Book Club: How to Watch

Billboard senior music correspondent Katie Bain is bringing her just-released book Desert Dreams: The Music, Style, and Allure of Coachella to a Billboard Book Club livestream today (Oct. 27).

In the new book — which arrived last week, on Oct. 21 — Bain explores the history and influence of Coachella, looking at how the Indio, California, festival became a global phenomenon and barometer for each year’s musical stars and trends. For the latest edition of Billboard Book Club, powered by TalkShopLive, Bain’s live, shoppable interview will air at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on Monday, where viewers can order a copy of the book, including a version signed by the author.

Bain’s full conversation will also be available for anyone to watch in the video player above and on the Billboard Dance Instagram page.

Billboard Book Club first launched in April, with its kickoff interview with Spice Girls’ Geri Halliwell-Horner. The singer joined Billboard to talk about her book Rosie Frost: Ice on Fire, the sequel to New York Times bestseller Rosie Frost & the Falcon Queen.

In June, Victoria Monét joined Billboard Book Club to chat about penning Everywhere You Are, an adorable illustrated children’s book about a moon who comforts a young star as they part ways at dawn. And just last week, Canadian singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez joined Billboard Book Club for a shoppable interview around her The People’s Purge poetry collection.
