Inside Opening Night of Kaytranada & Justice’s Co-Headlining Tour: Exclusive Photos
Kaytranada and Justice launched their co-headlining arena tour on Oct. 16 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C.
The mega-watt pairing brought two legends of the scene together under the same bill, giving fans across North America easy access to a pair of acts at the peak of their powers.
The two acts are flipping back and forth between opening and closing duties for the 14-date run, which continues this week Oakland, Calif., before heading south for a pair of shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Oct. 24-25. The tour then extends down to San Diego, across the southwest to Phoenix before shooting up to Denver, across to Chicago and Brooklyn, down to Atlanta and Tampa and then closing in Miami on Nov. 16.
The tour is a victory lap of sorts for both artists. Kaytranada released his fourth studio album, Ain’t No Damn Way!, in August, with the set reaching No. 8 on Top Dance Albums. The Haitian-Canadian artist opened for The Weeknd for a pair of shows earlier this year, a gig he also held for the duration of The Weeknd’s 2022-23 After Hours Til Dawn tour. He also did his own headlining run in 2024 behind his album of the same year, Timeless.
Meanwhile, this run marks the near-end of Justice’s epic 21-month tour behind the French duo’s 2024 album, Hyperdrama. Debuting the show and its mirrorball production at Coachella 2024, the tour subsequently crisscrossed largely North American and European venues and festivals. This Hyperdrama run will finally come to a close in December with a three-show run across Australia. Speaking to Billboard in March, the duo said that meeting their fans along the tour stops has been one of the most satisfying aspects of the run.
“The main thing we noticed that’s made us very happy,” said de Rosnay, “is that the crowd is much more diverse than it used to be in age, in gender, in every way. We see a lot more people who are not just like us. That’s the thing that’s made us the happiest.”
