Goyo & Javier Poza to Host the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards

Afro-Colombian singer-songwriter Goyo and Mexican television personality Javier Poza will serve as hosts of the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards next week, Telemundo and Billboard announced on Thursday (Oct. 16).

The ceremony will place on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 8 p.m. ET at the James L. Knight Center in Miami.

Goyo, a singer, songwriter and rapper from Chocó, Colombia, is one of the most influential and visionary voices in contemporary Latin music. As a founding member of the Grammy-winning group ChocQuibTown, she has elevated Afro-Colombian identity to global stages through a sound that fuses rap, tropical rhythms, and alternative beats. In 2025, she released her first solo album, Pantera, a celebration of her Afro-Latino heritage, and has collaborated with artists such as Carlos Vives, Carlos Santana, and Ziggy Marley. She is also recognized for her activism in support of inclusion, gender equality, and Afro-Latino representation.

Poza, whose career spans over 30 years, is a respected TV personality in Mexico and the U.S., with credits in successful entertainment and reality shows including La Casa de los Famosos: All Stars 2025 and the first season of La Isla: Desafío Extremo, both on Telemundo. He also hosted for 14 years Javier Poza en Fórmula on Grupo Radio Fórmula.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards will broadcast live on Telemundo and stream on the Telemundo App and Peacock. It will also air throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional. Tickets to the event are now available on Ticketmaster.

It will feature live performances by an all-star lineup, including the return of Daddy Yankee to the stage, and appearances by Carlos Vives, Danny Ocean, Elvis Crespo, Emilia, Grupo Frontera, Kapo, Laura Pausini, Netón Vega, Olga Tañón, Óscar Maydon, Peso Pluma, Ozuna, Wisin, Xavi and more.
