Anuel AA & DJ Khaled Call Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Choice ‘Legendary’ at Latin Music Week 2025
Anuel AA and DJ Khaled joined forces at 2025 Billboard Latin Music Week to discuss the connection between Hip-Hop and Latin music, future projects, and more.
During the intimate conversation on Monday afternoon (Oct. 20), moderated by Sirius XM’s Bryan Pino, the two superstars also reacted to Bad Bunny headlining the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show in February.
“For me it’s legendary,” Anuel said. “I see a lot of shit happening, but it shouldn’t matter if it’s going to be in Spanish or English. We loved Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, right? Nobody said anything. This is history, and it’s a super blessing for a Spanish-speaking artist. I think it’s going to be legendary.”
Khaled, who was one of Bad Bunny’s special guests at his hometown residency, agreed: “It’s a super choice, well deserved, and one of the best halftime show [picks] in a long time. I love seeing him getting bigger and bigger, and if he recreates what he did with his residency in Puerto Rico, it’s going to be epic. I can’t wait to see the show.”

Additionally, Khaled and Anuel bonded over their Hip-Hop and Latin music influences, sneakers, and how God and family keep them motivated. “Reggaeton didn’t open the doors for me. it was Hip-Hop,” Anuel expressed at the panel, crediting artists such as Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Tupac as his biggest inspirations. “When I started, I used to listen to Hip-Hop music and relate to the lyrics. That’s how I saw the dream for the first time.”
Additionally, Khaled announced that he’s going to release a new album, is opening more businesses, and is gearing up for the 3rd annual charity golf tournament that he founded with his wife for children in need.
Spanning 36 years, Latin Music Week is the single largest gathering of Latin artists and industry executives in the world. This year’s event — which also features Carlos Vives, Carín León, Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Gloria Estefan, Kapo, Laura Pausini, Netón Vega, Ozuna, Pablo Alborán, and Xavi, among others — hosts panels, marquee conversations, roundtables, networking and activations, in addition to its celebrated Billboard En Vivo showcases.
Latin Music Week also coincides with the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, set to air Thursday, Oct. 23, on Telemundo and Peacock, where Bad Bunny will be honored as Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century.
