In a video posted Wednesday (Aug. 20) to Lovato’s TikTok, the vocalist belts out the Broadway alum’s custom battle cry on the movie soundtrack version of “Defying Gravity,” surrounded by party guests at a karaoke joint. Standing in a furry black coat with the lyrics displayed on a screen in the background, the Camp Rock star lets it rip as their friends clap and cheer in amazement.

“it’s MEEEE,” Lovato captioned the clip.

Lovato turned 33 on Wednesday, kicking off a new decade of life while surrounded by husband Jutes and several friends at her party. In additional photos and videos from the event shared to Instagram, the musician smiles behind a delicious-looking tiered cake and belts out Christina Aguilera’s “Keep On Singin’ My Song” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone.”

In the comments, Lovato’s fans and pals showered them with love. “Happy birthday my beautiful baby,” wrote Jutes. “Love u so much.”

“Your battle cry was perfection,” commented Wicked‘s official Instagram account. “Have a thrillifying birthday!”

Lovato is currently gearing up to embark on a new musical era, which kicked off with the release of dance-pop single “Fast” in early August. The singer is also reportedly readying an album full of pop tracks after previously side-stepping the genre to focus on making rock music.
