The DJ Awards’ 2025 Nominees & New Categories Announced: Here’s the Full List

Nominees for the 2025 DJ Awards were announced Thursday (Aug. 21). Recognizing artists across a wide spectrum of dance/electronic genres, nominees range from global stars to more niche and rising artists across Afro, techno, tech house, house and beyond.

This year, the awards have introduced two new categories: the Balearic category will honor the sound of Ibiza and the DJs creating it, while the hard dance/bounce category will acknowledge the genre’s renaissance over the last year.

Voting is open now and to the public. The date and location for the ceremony will be announced in the coming weeks.

Additionally, this year’s awards will feature several industry and special recognition awards proposed by a jury of music professionals. Categories for these awards include track of the summer, party of the summer, icon award, lifetime achievement, an award focused on the Middle East North Africa region, DJ livestream of the year and a social impact award.

The DJ Awards were founded in 1998 and, after a four year hiatus, returned to Ibiza last fall. The ceremony was founded by Ibiza residents José Pascual and Lenny Krarup, with ownership of the awards taken over by Andy Grant last year.
